Ah, the day finally arrived. For the past 3 months I kept postponing worrying about it only until yesterday when I really start to think how many subjects that I can really say confidently that I will get an A for. English and Mathematics. That’s all. I was only sure of getting As for 2 friggin’ subjects.
So anyway today I woke up at around 9.40am. Took my time to get ready, made sure my hair was all nice and straight. Drove to school with my dad. Then had to wait a while for the results to arrive.
And finally at maybe 11-ish, the dreaded results arrived. We stood nervously at the edge of the queue unsure of whether to get it right away or just wait. However, my dad kept pestering me to get it already. So with shaky and clammy hands I wrote my name, address and number. I waited with baited breath while the teacher looked through the pile for my name. She put it face down and I took it without turning it up.
I told CM that I would wait for her to get her results before we see it together. So I handed it to my bro and dad first for them to ease the suspense. I asked my bro to give me hints of what I got.
"Definitely more than 5 As."
Okay, a sigh of relief. But I needed to know more.
"Got Bs or Cs or not?"
"A few Cs la"
"What???"
Then he hands it over to my friend Wai Kit, I asked him how was it.
"Wah, not bad ar! Straight As la!"
"What??? Really?"
It was too good to be true….and that turned out to be true. I turned it over and scanned through the results. I managed to secure a total of 8As and 2Bs. Not too bad I guess, since I only thought 2As. Lol. =P
The 2 subjects that ruined my near-perfect results were BM and Biology. =/ Was actually hoping for an A2 for BM. Sigh. Ah well.
But overall I am pretty glad with my results. Never thought I’d get 8As. I mean yeah I do dream of getting it, but not seriously. And yeah I got A1 for History. Lol! I was like "what the hell?"I was barely sure of half my answers.
And I guess all the tuition and extra work I did for Additional Mathematics did pay off. Got an A1 too =D.
Haha so today after my results my parents took me to Taylor’s PJ to enrol early to ensure that I would get the Taylor’s High Achievers Scholarship. I did manage to get it, so its 50% off tuition fees for foundation and 30% off tuition fees for the entire 3 year degree program.
So…pressure and tension all gone I guess for the time being until the next exam. Got results beyond expectations and well…parents are happy with it.
And Teddy of course. =D *squeeze*
