Time: 8pm
Venue: Bukit Jalil Carpark A

When I first heard of Good Charlotte coming to Malaysia, I knew this would be yet another great concert I’ll miss. I did try to get passes by entering a contest by MTV but didn’t get of course. I mean the chances of you winning is like one out of thousands. So after the first day of finding out I pretty much gave up and tried to forget about it.

Then, fast forward a few days, I was sleeping, having my usual after school nap. When suddenly, this irritating buzzing woke me up. It was my phone having just received an SMS. It was from SC, he said he got two VIP passes to watch Good Charlotte. At first I thought I was dreaming. So I just went back to sleep, woke up about half an hour later to find out it was true! Not any normal pass but VIP!

Okay, so that was done, what was left was trying to convince my parents to let me go. I knew that for my parents, it would be better to ask last minute especially my dad. So I told my dad about it the night before the concert. Of course in the beginning he made some noise but knowing my dad I just let him go on until he was satisfied. That is why I get to have almost everything I asked for. Lolz. Some tactic I learned after years and years of analysing how my parents reacts to such things.

With that, I left the next day around 2pm to KL Sentral train station to meet SC. We had to go back to his house coz’ he left the passes there. (=.=) By the time we got the passes it was already 3.10pm and Good Charlotte was gonna be at Subang Parade at 3.30pm. We sped our way through the heavy downpouring rain. Reached and managed to get down to Subang Parade at around 3.40pm. By then, there was a pretty big crowd there.

I was one of the last few ones in line, was so afraid I might not get their autographs.
But I did anyway. This time I managed to gather enough courage to ask Benji and Joel for hug. Although it was more like I gave them a hug each. Coz they just sat there with their arms outstretched. Oh well..guess they were pretty tired already.
Hmm I feel that it all happened too fast. Sigh. Should have spent more time standing there looking into Joel’s eyes. Lolz. But nevermind, I’m pretty satisfied with a hug.

After that, SC and I went for dinner in Manhattan’s Fish Market as he had said the other day that he would give me a treat there. We left for Bukit Jalil around 6.30pm, and reached at 7.00pm. Too bad they didn’t let us keep the passes…I liked it. Instead they gave us a little band to wear around our wrist and a pair of those plastic long thingys that when inflated with air would make a loud sound when hit against each other.

See it says VIP!

Ooh yeah! I saw Ashraf Sinclair. I was entering the Digi VIP entry way
and he walked past me with a camera behind him. He was like only 10
feet away from me shooting a video. He was looking real good wearing glasses.

You know the line for normal passes was really really long. I think like 10 times the VIP passes line. Serious. The difference between VIP and non-VIP is that the VIPs get to stand right in front of the stage.

Jason Lo. The pics I have of One Buck Short and Estranged turned out to be pretty blur.

During the opening acts performed by Malaysian bands One Buck Short, Estranged and Jason Lo, there was pretty much pushing and all. There was this tall guy who pushed his way through the front of me and this girl. The girl started cursing at him and hammering at his back but he pretended not to notice. Though I salute that girl for having the guts to do that. Lol. I wouldn’t. (>.<)

Finally, after waiting for almost two hours. Good Charlotte was ready to make their appearance. But I left the front crowd and went to join SC near the back where we had a better view.

They performed for about an hour and a half. With songs from older albums like Girls and Boys, Lifestyles of The Rich and The Famous, The Anthem, Predictable, Hold On, We Believe and a few more. Also, a few songs from their new album Good Morning Revival - Keep Your Hands Off My Girl, The River, Victims of Love, March On, and All Black.

It was pretty good for a live performance. Though they crapped a bit about stuff like moving to Malaysia and needing someone to take them around, getting a wife to make Malaysian babies. Lol. Stupid stuff.

Mmm another unexpected thing happened. SC couldn’t unlock his car. The remote failed and weirdly enough, the key wouldn’t open the door. After the concert we went to ask help from the police but they refused to help. Useless group of people dressed in police uniforms. So we spent half an hour running around asking people if they could lend us their car remote battery. None worked.

My parents came to pick me up after the concert and after hearing SC’s predicament came to give him a hand. Nothing worked so we got SC’s dad to come over with the spare keys. It turned out that he left the car lights on and the battery got drained. (=.=) By the time everything was working again it was around 1.45am. Been stuck in the carpark for almost two hours.

The journey home was pretty much relieving. I finally got to sit down and take off my heels. They were hurting my feet so bad. Haha. Oh well.

All in all, I enjoyed the concert. Had lotsa fun jumping to Good Charlotte. However, I have to say I still prefer Fall Out Boy. Their lyrics have more depth and they sound better too. Wished they came here instead of Singapore. Go listen to their newest song Thanks For The Memories. Loved it the first time I heard it. Also, try listening to Avenged Sevenfold, some members were featured in Good Charlotte’s The River. They don’t sound too bad.

Mmm okay then. Pretty late here. Should finish my work and go to bed. Goodnight.

Yet another time at Secret Recipe

(NOTE: My other blog has been updated (finally!) Click here.

Last week (or was it the week before?) we went again to Secret Recipe. This time we decided to only have cakes for dinner. Although in the end, CM, Sarah and I ordered tom yam. Prior to that I had a slice of Chocolate Fudge and a chocolate drink with whipped cream. Mmmm…I really miss that Chocolate Fudge.

This time Krystine wasn’t there but we had Sarah with us. We had fun and nearing the end we had a little camwhoring session. Lol. I just love taking pictures.

New Room

Spent almost a month planning and redesigning my room. Pretty tiring. Spent five nights without a bed, sleeping only on a mattress on a floor. Haha well…those three weeks were good in a way, absolutely no time for emo-ness. Lost track of time too, and whatever going on in school. Good thing nothing major happened.

Omg haha. I remembered something embarrassing happened. Oh my…I don’t think I can post it here too. Well I’ll try, one the day some Indonesian workers came over to remove my old furniture (oh i miss it!) I forgot to clean out one drawer. It was the drawer I keep all my err..girl stuff. And then they opened it and oh god they saw everything. I was so freaking embarrassed. I looked at them and saw them smiling at each other. Ugh. Ew. I’m never gonna forget that in a looong time.

And yeah, during that three weeks, had a little reminder - parents rule and you don’t. =.= Initially I had two walls painted red. It looked great but my parents kept complaining that it made my room all dark. So I got into this little fight with my mom over it. She was quite upset over my wall and I don’t know why considering that it’s MY wall. Anyway, the next day she made a suggestion that I should paint it back to white. So in order to avoid the wrath of mommy dearest, I acquiesced. Spent another day repainting it. Sigh. All the work I did to paint it red gone down the drain. Oh well…that was to remind me that parents will always want to have a say in whatever you do no matter if it involves them or not. >.<

So pictures I suppose? I decided to paint an angel on my wall. A dark angel painted white. A white dark angel. Lol. How oxymoronic is that?

Sticking the edges with masking tape was really tedious
